Constellations of Grief is a watercolor series created in 2024 that explores grief through color psychology and personal associations. Rather than framing grief as black and white, the work uses saturated and shifting color to hold both comfort and discomfort, tenderness and strain. Colors carry emotional weight, evoking memory, mood, and bodily response as they bleed and overlap through the fluidity of watercolor. Together, the paintings acknowledge grief as something lived in many emotional registers at once, where opposing feelings coexist and continue to change over time.
